(Art Journal) Art Expressions Kit: Fly Free

Hello!
Here again with a gift for my scrappy friends! Today I want to share with you an art journal kit and show you some examples of layer blending styles so you can get an idea of how things look. Remember this a "play" kit so things don't have to be perfect, they just are! Here is the kit preview, and click it to download it. Many items in these types are kits are made for Photoshop or Elements. If you can open a psd type file you are good to go.

Step 1: Get the kit!
Free Download

Step 2 :  Now let check out some of the features here, included firstly, are two paper blenders, these are in .png format. Place them over a background and choose a layer blend mode other than "normal" Here are some examples I did:
This one above is in normal mode. The next one is linear burn, then linear dodge.
This final example is the same blender and the same background using overlay mode.
Also, are two clipping masks. Don't let their color or funny shape detour you they work just like templates. Place your background or photo over them, go to layers menu choose make clipping mask and merge it down. Then you can also play with its layer mode as well. Here is a photo over one of the masks.
Lastly: I have included more traditional elements with this kit. There are 18 of them, ATC, journal and brushwork. These are elements with varying degrees of opacity and may include elements or splatters. There are 5 backgrounds. I also added a stacked frame because I just think they are awesome.........so please have a fun time playing with this art journal kit!! The background on the preview below is not included!

  4. Thanks so much--can't wait to use it --of course, I convert background, etc. to fit 11 X 8.5 layout. Have no shelves wide enough for the 12x12.

    1. sometimes I feel like the 12 x 12 books are way too big as well but the letter size backgrounds are not as popular...
